Waterloo Lodge Offers Luxury Self Catering Accommodation With Stunning Views Over Lochinver And To The Mountains Beyond

Perched on a Lochinver hillside, looking over to the Assynt mountain range, amid one of the last great unspoiled wildernesses in Europe, Waterloo Lodge offers a peaceful luxury self-catering retreat in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Waterloo Lodge, built in 2011; has been designed to envelop its occupants with luxury, comfort, relaxation with nature at its core and the environment in mind – the logs used to build the property where sourced from an organisation dedicated sustaining the great forests they were cut from.

Waterloo lodge offers luxury, comfort and relaxation with nature at its core

Waterloo Lodge has a geothermal heating system providing substantial warmth with a low carbon emission rate. To complement this, underfloor heating throughout the lodge offers warmth underfoot for added comfort.

Jacuzzi

One of the highlights of the property is the outdoor Jacuzzi. What could be better than relaxing at the end of the day in a warm bubbling Jacuzzi under the stars looking over Lochinver bay and magnificent Assynt mountain range?

Kitchen / Dining Area

Most kitchens become a point of social gatherings. Because of this, we have designed the kitchen to be as warm and welcoming as possible. It has been tastefully designed and decorated (pale blue and white, blond wood, solid granite worktop) and has only top quality gadgets, including a 55″ Smart TV. In 2018 we made and installed large wagon wheel chandeliers, which really finish off the space. For that alfresco feeling, there is a sizable handmade sliding glass door which spans almost the entire length of the kitchen. When this door is open, it instantly transforms the kitchen into a garden room bringing the outside in – great for anytime. The dining area is located in this large kitchen (7m x 7m) and features both a six-person dining table and four person breakfast bar.

Bedrooms

The Master Bedroom at Waterloo Lodge features a super-king size bed, Walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom and large balcony with panoramic folding doors. The bathroom comes complete with both a bath and large waterfall shower. The furniture in the room is high-quality Oak, which includes; dressing table and mirror, bedside tables with designer reading lamps and a full-length vanity mirror. There is also a hairdryer and a 50″ smart TV. The Queen Room features, en-suite and a walk-in wardrobe. The room is finished off with high-quality oak bedroom furniture, designer reading lamps, a mango wood full-length mirror and a hairdryer. The twin room features, en-suite, walk-in wardrobe, high-quality oak furnishings, mirror, designer reading lamps and a hairdryer.

Sauna

To complement the Jacuzzi, we recently installed an Infrared Sauna. With these two added luxuries, you will come away from your stay feeling like you’ve visited a spa.

Log Fire

For the romantics, there is a log fire where one can bask in its warm glow, enjoying a cup of tea, or something stronger, listening to soothing music, while taking in the breathtaking views before you.

Outside

Private driveway and parking for six cars. There is an attractive, stone paved area with outdoor seating, stone table, large ornamental pond, BBQ area, romantic lighting and heated outdoor hot tub with an amazing view. Adding to this, we have Bose outdoor speakers connected to Sonos which allow you to play relaxing music further enhancing the outdoor experience at Waterloo Lodge. Additionally, we have planted many small trees and shrubs which with each year that passes adds an extra feeling of tranquility and seclusion within nature.
