Lovely holiday - Lovely, quiet, well kept cottage with amazing views over the sea and the mountains behind it, and the ever changing colours and weather. The cottage is split on two levels,... read more with amazing covered porch/conservatory wrapped in views, a well equipped kitchen(washing machine and dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave and all needed pots cutlery and crockery), tv room with fireplace, and shower room and wc on the ground floor and double bed room, single bed room and a small toilet upstairs. Suzy and Roy are excellent hosts, always available but never intruding. Excellent heating and insulation, superior cleaning. Lovely welcome pack of local products. Superior holiday choice. I wish we'll be back soon.

Mountview Saorsa log cabin was heaven - We have just returned from a weeks staycation staying in the Soarsa log Cabin at Mountview, Baddidarach, Lochinver. It’s was absolutely beautiful. A real home from home. Everything... read more there was of a high spec. We loved it! The welcome basket was just beautiful the homemade tablet and 3 fruit marmalade was simply delicious. Freshly ground coffee was also left for us in the welcome basket and beautiful homemade oatcakes. We will definitely return soon!

It was a perfect base to explore the stunning north west of Scotland. However there was lots to see on the doorstep such as the path the Achmelvich and the walk through Glen Canisp just beautiful. I even went for a dip in the seawater just yards from our cabin. We also spotted otter just yards away in the water on several nights. Perfect!

All the cooking equipment/appliances one needs, and a short walk into Lochinver for the pie shop or pub or eateries (if you don’t fancy cooking). Very luxurious all round, and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend (although I think it books out fast - for good reason!).

Every view was stunningly beautiful, but, the view from the hot tub has to be the best we’ve ever experienced.
The owners were attentive and responsive before and during our visit blended with the discretion to give us the space we had wished for. It’s definitely on the ‘must go again’ list

The welcome basket was lovely especially the marmalade, we managed to find the Jammery which produced this and consequently purchased a a variety of jams,chutney etc.
There is a variety of small shops to purchase essentials etc can highly recommend Lochinver Pies they where incredibly good.

So many beautiful beaches close by, but the scenery on the drive is so stunning you’ll need to stop often to take it in.

Very pet friendly with a huge enclosed garden so my dog could please himself too.

We can only echo the many good reviews that have already appeared on this site. The cabin was well equipped to a high standard with all the comforts of home. On our arrival there was goody bag welcome pack including a Jar of locally produced Marmalade and a pouch of ground coffee plus some home made tablet which we thought was a nice touch. Both the bedroom and the lounge have large TVs, the one in the lounge being a smart TV linked to the WiFi. It is possible to swim off the jetty at the bottom of the garden if you dont mind a bit of seaweed but this is best done at high tide.
Thanks to Suzy for providing us with a micro screwdriver when a screw fell out of my Wife's glasses . (Hope you got it back ok).
All in all an excellent self catering accommodation and a brilliant base to explore locally and even on foot from the doorstep.
